This art greeting card is taken from an original linocut print, inspired by British wildlife and the sight of hares leaping through the countryside in Spring. It features a European Hare (Lepus Europaeus) in brown ink.
 
I wanted this piece to capture the wonderful form of the hare and it's elegant ears, using many intricate marks in the lino to create the texture of its fur. It gazes intently, paw poised to leap off again at any moment.
 
Greeting cards are blank inside, A6 size 148x x105 mm (5.8 x 4.1 in), and printed on 100% recycled cardstock. They come with a kraft brown paper envelope.
