Daffodil flower linoprint
This limited edition original linoprint is the first in a series of floral designs based on British wildflowers. It features one of our most iconic and recognisable native flowers, the daffodil (Narcissus Pseudonarcissus).
Each design in this series features a bold, graphic depiction of a native bloom, inspired by the art noveau style of tarot cards.
The sight of yellow banks of daffodils on the edge of our woodlands and streams signalling the arrival of Spring has long been a symbol of rebirth, renewal and resiliance - a reminder that if we can make it through the dark days of winter, there are brighter days to come.
In folklore, the daffodil is often assocciated with luck and wealth. A Welsh tradition states that seeing the first daffodil of the season will attract wealth to your household for the year to come. Another tale claims that those who tread carefully around daffodils and avoid stepping on them will be rewarded with abundance.
